Urban Forest in Bryanston

This Pine tree forest is in the middle of a residential area. It occupies an entire block but used to be much larger. Residential housing now stands where part of the Pine forest was. Many people living in Johannesburg do not realise that this forest exists.

Summer Storm

I know that this blog is meant to be about the trees in Johannesburg but without the rain, we would not have any trees.

View from Northcliff Hill

Northcliff Hill is a great vantage point to see some of the green suburbs. The city skyline can be seen in top right. Randburg and Sandton business districts are in the middle distance.

Walk in The Wilds, Houghton

The Wilds, one of the many parks around Johannesburg, is only a stones throw from the flat land of Hillbrow. One of the city's highways dissects the Park.

Walks though this Park and others are conducted regularly by Dog Walks. Visit them at: http://www.wildswalk.co.za/dogwalk/
